When I tried this I could see the HTML contents in the compose window, but the emails arrived blank. Is this method still working for you?

Ah I see where I went wrong. I was in plain-text mode which breaks HTML. Thanks very much.

After creating a "place holder" and right-clicking the "Inspect" tab doesn't show why is that?

When I do this and send a test email in gmail, the email arrives with only the place markers (*****)…I saw the other comment about plain text but I'm not in plain text, I have the option to paste and paste in plain text. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong if someone can help me I would greatly apppreciate it. Thank you.

I think this might be pretty simple, but you have made this so wordy and confusing with so much extra content. Good heavens!

I tried using your technique to plant a YouTube video in the body of the email. When I paste the Youtube embed code into the placeholder, the video shows up and plays in my draft BUT, once sent, does NOT show up in the recipient's copy of the email. What do you think is going wrong?

Content mentioned in title of video (How to Insert HTML in an email) is very good but starts at around 05:21 (and ends around 08:29).

Please make it more compact, shorter an on point next time, because many people watching need your help for business and mostly there's not much time for us to watch videos while working. Thanks!

You should have mentioned in the video what html tags and css attributes gmail supports, because if somebody doesn't know these, when you copy and paste it, it looks the same, but as soon as you save it in drafts and view it again or send it and view the sent folder you will find a big surprise…

Nice video, however you kinda exposed (?) a Google Drive Link along with a bunch of emails around 9:38. I hope you learned from these mistakes as we all do, wishing more success to you, mate. 🙂

It looks like gmail sanitizes the outbound email and removes any inserted html. I recommend testing it out with other mailing apps/services.

Great vid. Pity in this day and age, you have to fiddle with Inspect and pasting HTML. One would think there's a better way by now.

Hey man! You saved my life, inserting the code solved all the mess outlook makes with the signature. Just one small problem, I hope you could help me:

When opening a sent mail on a smaller scren (lets say, my cellphone) it displays tiny white lines between the image slices. It does scales though

Thanks for the tutorial! I'm trying to do this but in the Gmail Signature part. Can you save what's edited from the DevTools (after editing from the inspect)? Cos when I make new emails, it goes back to the placeholder and then I have to do all the steps again: right click, inspect, edit highlighted part, paste code on the placeholder. I don't want to do this everytime I send an email. Please help!

Bro your video really helped. I have been having some headache over this for a while now.. I was only disturbed at the beginning of the video because of the lengthy talks of other things. It is always better to do little introduction and go straight to the point. Then after you have hit the nail on the head you can now talk. Thanks

I followed your instructions. It showed up in the mail before I sent it, but when I received the mail (I sent it to a different mail adr I have as a test) it just showed the placeholder text.
